House is a genre of electronic dance music. It generally consists of a repetitive uptempo beat played anywhere from 118 to 135 bpm. There is so much variety and styles of house music, it can be anywhere from a big room house banger to a tech house groover. Either way, it will blow up any dance floor and get everyone at the club moving. Here are some of the best and most recent tunes in house and progressive house. Enjoy.
Release: Alesso - Raise Your Head [Refune]
Alesso has proved himself as yet another worthy Swede with his massive house production this past year keeping Sweden in total dominance of the genre. His first big hit, his remix of Heiress of Valentina which appeared in Avicii's essential mix in December of last year, brought his name onto the scene. Then in March of this year, his release of his first singles Nillionaire and Dynamite were the beginning to his huge success. Since then, we've seen an abundance of big tracks by Alesso; his remix of Pressure with Spinnin Records blew up to utmost popluarity, the massive and (in my opinion) the best remix of Save the World by the Swedish House Mafia, then his remix of LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem which isn't even comparable to the original, and recently as of September his very happy Good Love Remix. Ever since Sebastian Ingrosso of the Swedish House Mafia picked up Alesso on his record label Refune, its brought him nothing but success and he has taken Alesso in has his main musical prodigy. Alesso's collaboration with Ingrosso, Calling, premiered on Pete Tongs radio show as an Essential New Tune has been one of the biggest bangers of 2011.
Alesso's next single Raise Your Head was featured on the Swedish House Mafia's take-over on BBC Radio 1 and has been getting played by huge names like Dirty South, Tiesto, and Avicii. This bad ass banger has been blowing up every club with its bumpin' heavy bassline and break down chords. Try not to move to this one.

Preview: Tim Mason - Anima [Size]
Laying it down this year with happy and epic house bangers, there seems to be no end to Tim Mason's production skills. Banger after banger. Non stop hits. Mason just keep er' comin. Starting off with one of this years biggest hits, The Moment releasing on Size Records showing his fundamental role with Size as one of Steve Angello's main attributes. Following up with his beautiful festival remix of Angello and Alex Metric's Open Your Eyes blowing the original mix out of the water. Especially after the past few months, Mason has been unstoppable with remixes like Solid Ground, After, I Can't Help Myself, and the still to come with much excitement Otherside by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Mason has yet again displayed superb production skills with his newest unreleased track, Anima. Bringing us some more happy energetic synth as featured on Tiesto's Club Life, Mason keeps his streak alive. Definitely one of the most anticipated unreleased house bangers right now. Can't wait to hear the full version of this one. Here's the preview and radio rip.

Release: Deadmau5 - Aural Synapse [Mau5trap]
The musical genius behind the renowned mouse head, Joel Zimmerman, has been destroying the electronic music world for years now under the name Deadmau5. And his live production. Is. Insane. Just look at those pictures. There was such a wide selection I had to post 2. I suggest checking more out at Rukes.com and like Deadmau5 on facebook to check out his album of his last show at the Rogers center in Toronto. Wow that show looked crazy. He sold out the Rogers center, a 20,000 person indoor rave. Deadmau5 excels in a wide range of genres producing progressive, electro, house, and dubstep, expressing his true gifted talent for making music. He has had countless hits with both Ultra Records and his very own label Mau5trap throughout the decade like Ghosts 'n' Stuff, Move for Me, Not Exactly, Raise Your Weapon, Some Chords, of course his biggest hit and a personal favourite Strobe, and the list goes on. This guy is a true legend.
We were recently blessed with the release of the simple yet effective hard electro house banger Where are My Keys. Now the long unreleased second edit of Aural Psynapse is out which I first heard when I had the pleasure of seeing Deadmau5 live in Montreal in late September of this year. Definitely the best show I've ever been to and one of the best times of my life. Aural Psynapse was one of the more memorable moments of the night. Keeping the classic Deadmau5 sound while still showing his diversity. That second drop definitely brings out some emotions. An absolute masterpiece and arguably his best track since Strobe.

Release: Eric Prydz - 2Night [Pryda]
I can't even express how talented Eric Prydz truly is. This Swedish beauty is the ringleader of Sweden's house music dominance. Having been unofficially named the godfather of the Swedish House Mafia, who have (with a great big thanks to Prydz) skyrocketed to absolute stardom. This man is a true legend. Everything he touches turns gold. With countless hit singles and a handful of unreleased gems under several alias', we can tell there is no end when it comes to his production. Earlier this year, the release of his Mirage, Juletider, and With Me EP all express his outstanding skill. I can't get enough of his deep and somewhat trancy sound under his Pryda name and the harder electro he has recently been using, as shown in Juletider. If you haven't already, his most recent Essential Mix live at Creamfields is a must listen. He showcases all his newest releases, his oh so anticipated range of unreleased, and his private edit of one of his all time bests, Pjanoo.
His most recent release is nothing out of the ordinary for Prydz. Bringing us another beautiful piano melody under Pryda Recordings, 2Night has to be one of his most sought out unreleased masterpieces. What a track. It may barely change during its 7 minutes, but that's what makes it so good. That one melody certainly speaks for itself. Give it a listen. No chance you aren't moved by this one.
