Tech House is a sub-genre of House music that mixes in elements of minimal techno with the classic characteristics of house. It has a totally different feel to regular house and progressive house. Instead of having epic builds and bangin drops, it has a more laid-back feel and gets you groovin to its intricate rhythms. Here are a few of the best and most recent tracks in tech house.
Release: Pleasurekraft - The Main Ingredient [Hotfingers]
This Swedish-American duo has taken the tech house scene by storm this past year. They blew up the charts last year with their hit track Tarantula, a perfect example of their unique style which has brought them to such levels of popularity. Pleasurekraft kicked off this years releases on Annie Macs radio show featuring Carny, a fun and bouncy tune further demonstrating true mastery of their vocal-loop signature sound. There have been an abundance of great tracks from Pleasurekraft this year including remixes of Harmageddon, The Antidote, We Love, and the singles Anubis and as of recently Satyr Song. Every track has perfect Pleasurekraft steez, while still being unique in its own way.
The newest release, The Main Ingredient, is another outstanding single from Pleasurekraft. This track is lacking the distinct vocal loop that is usually the main feature in their songs. Nonetheless, its still easily recognizable as a Pleasurekraft tune. Once again these guys got me instantly groovin. Can't wait to see what else they have in store.

Release: Prok & Fitch vs. Juan Kidd - Star Guitar (Festival Mix) [Toolroom]
The tech house due Prok & Fitch are all about the grooves. Last year they showed a great variation of sounds in their release of Something's Going On. This year with the release of The Tribe and their remix of Marcus Lys Go, an influence from tribal sounds is now evident in their music. And oh man does it go well with tech house. That tribal drum really gets me bouncing. Now, Prok & Fitch have teamed up with Juan Kidd for their newest release Star Guitar which features the sensitive vocals from The Chemical Brothers original version of the track. The guitar build up goes very nicely with the vocals and makes for a lovely change up from the rest of the track. The drop is then taken over by the tribal drums giving the track an extra hard bassline that just can't help but make you groove. They have definitely nailed the sound this due has been going for with this track.
